Our Strategy

Building a Group of Metal Fabrication Businesses

FMCP is building a group of metal fabrication and related manufacturing businesses with complementary capabilities, customers, and production skills. We seek established operations where experienced people, useful equipment, and durable customer relationships provide a foundation for growth.

Our Acquisition Strategy

What We Evaluate

We evaluate platform businesses with leadership and systems capable of supporting growth, along with smaller complementary acquisitions that add technical capabilities, customer relationships, or geographic presence. Our evaluation starts with sustainable earnings and cash generation. We review customer concentration, backlog quality, job profitability, equipment condition, management depth, and owner dependence. We assess real estate, working capital, and existing obligations separately from the operating business.

How We Support Growth

Operating Approach

01

Customer Development

We connect prospecting, customer coverage, estimating, and bid follow-up with actual production capacity. We prioritize work that can be priced, executed, and delivered reliably.

Prioritizing work that can be priced and delivered reliably
Building durable customer relationships over time
02

Estimating Discipline

Our approach considers materials, labor, purchased components, outside services, freight, installation scope, exclusions, and schedule. Comparing estimated and actual job results helps identify improvements in pricing, planning, and execution.

03

Production and Delivery

Production planning links material readiness, skilled labor, machine capacity, quality checks, and delivery commitments. Clear handoffs between estimating, purchasing, and the shop help managers identify constraints early.

What You Can Expect from FMCP

Metal Fabrication Focus

Our entire platform is built around metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing. We understand the work, the equipment, and the customer relationships that make these businesses run.

Clear Terms and Communication

We aim to agree clear terms early and communicate promptly if material diligence findings require adjustments. Final terms remain subject to diligence and definitive agreements.

Long-Term Ownership

Our strategy emphasizes long-term ownership and growth without a predetermined exit timetable — giving employees, customers, and sellers stability.

Flexible Transitions

Depending on the opportunity, we consider a full sale, phased ownership transition, continued owner involvement, or a growth partnership.
